As cold as it looks!

Have you ever had welly slap? It's not pleasant... Complete School-Mum error on my part, thinking shorts + wellies was a good outfit ensemble for my sons escapades on the beach. My poor boy's legs were red raw by the time we got down the hill to the beach, not helped by the biting winds and the delusion that it would be miraculously sunny when we arrived.

All was forgotten at least when we reached the shops to buy the same buckets and nets that we always do, having broken them by filling them with rubble the time before, not forgetting the fossil shop to purchase some random rocks for good measure, all in a days work.

We tried a bit of crabbing but it was a no show, too cold for ice cream, we settled for some hot doughnuts and 'fashioned' a welly slap solution before heading back up the hill for fish and chips (all worth it in the end, I think)!
